Summary of Job Duties:The Office Manager for University Recreation (UREC) provides administrative support to ensure efficient operations of the office and supports the administrative team by performing tasks related to organization and strong communication. Additionally, the Office Manager supports departmental staff through various tasks and duties and assists members with customer support.

Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with a major in sociology, public administration, management, or a related field from an accredited institution of higher education

  • At least two years of program administration or related area



Applicable equivalencies may be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in higher education

  • Experience working with college-age students

  • Experience working with membership databases

  • Experience with the University of Arkansas software systems, such as Workday, UAConnect, and Perceptive Content

  • Experience in business writing and editing



Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of the organization and administration of various higher education academic and social programs

  • Knowledge of campus and community resources

  • Knowledge of state, federal, and campus rules, regulations, and requirements related to campus academic and social programs

  • Knowledge of or ability to learn and explain membership records policies and procedures

  • Knowledge of or ability to learn and use Microsoft Office software

  • Knowledge of or ability to learn and use basic office equipment: phone, computer, printer, copier, and fax

  • Knowledge of or ability to learn FERPA regulations

  • Knowledge of or ability to learn and use Perceptive Content, document imaging

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills

  • Strong verbal communication skills

  • Ability to coordinate the activities of campus academic and/or social programs

  • A bility to evaluate collected information and formulate into recommendations

  • Ability to compile information into report form



Salary Information:

$31,950
