The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Virginia Military Institute (VMI) seeks applications for a full-time tenure-track faculty member. Preference is at the assistant professor level but qualified applicants at the associate professor level will be considered. In order to be considered for this position, a candidate must have a doctoral degree in electrical or computer engineering, or related discipline, and must have a strong dedication to undergraduate education. The department is seeking a candidate to teach existing courses in one of the fundamental areas of electrical and computer engineering. Additionally, we are looking for a candidate who can contribute to the highly-customizable, practical, student-centered education offered by the department through the creation of upper-division electives of relevance to the students and the profession, and in complement to the department's current offerings.

 

The appointment will begin August 1, 2022. 

 

VMI is a public, four-year undergraduate military college (1,700 students) located in the historic Shenandoah Valley of Virginia.
