The University of Wisconsin Stevens Point (UWSP) is seeking an Endowed Professor of Population Health with a full-time, tenure-track, 12-month appointment at the assistant, associate, or full professor level. The position will lead an advisory committee comprised of university, community, and organizational leaders to advance the use of data and evidence for supporting health transformation and equity in South Wood County, Wisconsin. The successful candidate will establish data sharing systems, analyze data, interpret results, and partner with local organizations to report findings and refine strategies for community health improvement planning (CHIP). The candidate will also be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate course offerings that align with and support the local population health efforts. The successful candidate will achieve this vision by effectively managing community-based research projects, leading teams of multi-disciplinary faculty, partnering with local stakeholders, and mentoring undergraduate and graduate students. Operating support for this position comes from an endowment from the Legacy Foundation of Central Wisconsin. This position reports to the Assistant Dean of the School of Health Sciences and Wellness. Primary work responsibilities are in South Wood County with some teaching and University responsibilities on the UWSP campus located in Stevens Point, Wisconsin

Required Qualifications
• Academic doctorate (such as Ph.D., ScD, DrPH) in Population Health, Public Health, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Data Science, or other related fields; or ABD with intent to complete doctorate within two years.
• Expertise using data visualization tools, statistical data analysis and predictive modeling software such as R, SQL, Python, SAS, MATLAB, Tableau, and other related tools.

Preferred Qualifications
• Master of Public Health (MPH)
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant post-graduate work
• Demonstrated teaching excellence and commitment to diversity, inclusion, and equity
• Evidence of development and evaluation of clinical and/or community-based programs, policies, or systems
• Experience establishing health data sharing systems, policies, and governance agreements
• Experience working collaboratively across multiple sectors to develop community health needs assessments, health improvement plans, and/or collective impact initiatives
• Demonstrated leadership experience in organizational and/or community context
• Documented research or scholarly activity focused on population health, social determinants of health, and/or health equity
• Evidence of grant writing and acquisition of extramural funding
