The Service Provider has primary responsibility for receiving and screening all inquiries to the Office of Financial Aid & Scholarship Programs.

Computer skills, including data entry and basic MS Word, Excel and Access are essential. The Service Provider should demonstrate commitment in providing high quality services and ability to work in a collaborative, results driven environment. Qualifications
Associates degree with 1-2 years minimum office experience preferred.
Must be able to function as a team member in a high-volume, high-stress, flexible work environment as well as the ability to perform tasks independently. Job Specific Qualifications
  • Requires effective articulation and customer service skills to disseminate financial aid information. Attention to detail and confidentiality are essential.
  • Reasonable experience in office procedures, Microsoft Office, and data entry is necessary performing such tasks with accuracy.
  • Excellent customer service skills required.
  • Apply authoritative knowledge of FERPA .
  • Provide support to students and parents for web-based processes.
  • Participate in hiring and training of new staff.
  • Continuously evaluate and identify opportunities to drive process improvements that positively impact the students/staff experience.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing.
  • Have a pleasant, patient and friendly attitude.
  • Strong detail orientation and communication/listening skills.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment with a high volume of telephone contact necessary. Experience with PeopleSoft preferred. Financial aid experience a plus.
Responsibilities
Direct and/or respond to inquiries by phone, in person, mail or email with prompt, efficient and courteous attention. Four service providers at the front line answer a total of 48,639 telephone calls, see 10,242 visitors and responds to 14,856 electronic contacts to the office. |

Supports Assistant Director of External Resources with processing 700 paper and online state grant and Tuition Exchange certifications for new and returning students. Completes and submits cost of attendance and enrollment forms for outside scholarships including study abroad in a timely manner. Research and post outside scholarships for the scholar listserv, provide scholar information for newsletters and the Office Financial Aid and Scholarship Programs website.
