Manager, Entrepreneurship Outreach Programs



Job Summary

The Manager, Entrepreneurship Outreach Programs is responsible for operations and logistics for all outreach programs including the Runway Program and Incubator. Develops and implements strategies and actions to proactively recruit students to entrepreneurship programs. This position works closely with university and community partners to expand the visibility of the School of Entrepreneurship through marketing activities.

Job Description

Typical duties may include but are not limited to:
  • Initiates and manages recruiting and outreach by leading recruitment drives, high school recruiting visits and events, advertising and marketing.
  • Creates flyers, handouts, visual aids, and info graphics that support department events and outreach programs.
  • Coordinates functions related to existing and new camps.
  • Collects, analyzes, and maintains data on activities and events.
  • Utilizes Student Management System to verify students’ admission records.
  • Serves as a Liaison with campus departments and colleges to distribute accurate information and timely responses to prospective program participants.
  • Coordinates marketing materials, mailings, and other outreach to prospective program participants.
  • Reviews progress, evaluates results, implements new processes, and promotes best practices.
  • May provide training and development services to increase workforce competence, employee engagement, or organizational capability.
  • May serve as a team leader, oversee the work of lower level personnel in assigned area.
Other Duties:
  • Designs exercises and other interactive curriculum for camps.
  • Collaborates with relevant campus departments to identify and write grants for entrepreneurship programs.
  • Supports the Makerspace and ensure that there is appropriate technical support for students and faculty
  • Mentors students and provide support for community members interested in starting new businesses
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Additional Job Description

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization.
  • Four years of professional full-time experience in Business, Communications or closely related field.
  • Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience, and/or certifications may be considered.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of policies, procedures, and regulations pertaining to the position.
  • Strong organizational skills and an ability to prioritize and complete simultaneous projects within deadlines.
  • Skill in using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Skill in public speaking and delivering presentations to individuals and groups.
  • Ability to interpret and apply laws, regulations, policies and procedures consistently.
  • Ability to work successfully as both a member of a team and independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and build strategic relations with colleagues and coworkers.
  • Ability to interact in a professional manner with a diverse group of staff, faculty, students, and the community in a service-oriented environment.
  • Ability to thrive in an organization that values the diversity of its student body and workforce and actively promotes equity and inclusion.
