Job Summary:
The Director of Enrollment Marketing Technology within Miami University Department of University Communications and Marketing (UCM) develops and leads technology-based marketing and communication strategies in support of student recruitment and enrollment. The Enrollment Marketing Technology Director is responsible for procuring, building, implementing, and maintaining the technology required to execute omni-channel marketing and communications campaigns. This includes identifying cross functional marketing needs, collaborating on integrated marketing plans, and working closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors to drive a holistic customer experience.
Duties/Physical Demands:
- Oversee the implementation and use of data- and
technology-based communication solutions in support of recruitment
for undergraduate, graduate, and online academic programs.
- Lead the definition, implementation, and management of the vision
and strategy necessary to meet current and future needs of
marketing technology, data integration, and optimization.
- Serve as a marketing and communication technology liaison with
departmental and campus partners. Work cross functionally to build,
improve, and evaluate marketing technology solutions.
- Ensure existing tools are being used effectively and that they
continue to meet marketing and communication needs.
- Create and maintain a technology roadmap for recruitment
marketing and communication priorities based on business and
constituent needs.
- Use data and business intelligence to support departmental
decision making and goal setting.
- Strive to eliminate marketing and technology silos, helping to
improve deployment and optimization of new/existing technologies in
collaboration with departmental colleagues and campus
partners.
- Provide leadership and expertise in the evaluation of external
vendor services.
- Provide SEO analysis and reports, keyword research, strategy and
optimization recommendations that align with the university’s
audiences, goals, and objectives.
- Work with tools, vendor partners, and Miami’s content management
systems to implement SEO and SEM strategies.
- Research and test new software or tools that will improve Miami’s
abilities to research and implement SEO strategies.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Five or more years of experience in marketing/communication
technology position
- Track record of innovation in enrollment management and a broad
understanding of new and emerging technologies, current issues, and
trends within enrollment management
- Highly proficient in HTML, PHP, XHTML, CSS design, cross-browser
and cross-platform compatibility, firewalls (functionality and
maintenance), Access, mySQL and JavaScript.
- Experience with Search Engine Optimization, Search Engine
Marketing, and content marketing
- Experience with constituent relationship management systems
- Experience with search engine optimization
- Experience with content management systems
- Experience with digital marketing and data integration within
communication
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing technology-related field
- Experience with web development
- Experience with lead generation
- Experience with email marketing
