The Department of Educational Leadership at The University of Montana is pleased to invite applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor to begin mid-August 2022. The position is responsible for teaching, research, and service to support master’s and doctoral programs. The position’s 3/2 teaching load will be built around the successful candidate’s interests and program needs. Required qualifications
  • An earned doctorate in educational administration, educational leadership, school improvement, educational policy, or a closely related field by July 31, 2022
  • Demonstrate potential for or have an established record of research and publication in educational leadership or related fields
  • Demonstrate potential for or exhibit evidence of quality teaching in a graduate program
  • Demonstrate potential for or have evidence of leadership/service at the university, college, department, and discipline levels
  • Have experience as a K-12 school superintendent
  • Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
Preferred qualifications
  • Expertise in quantitative and/or mixed research methods
  • Experience working with diverse student populations and/or communities
  • Experience supporting Ph.D. and Ed.D. students as they move through their dissertation research
  • Capacity to serve in a leadership role for a academic programming
  • Experience building partnerships with school districts and educational organizations
  • Experience with analog and digital course delivery (e.g., online or hybrid)
