ASSISTANT/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR OF MARKETING – TENURE-TRACK

 

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The Marketing and Sport Management Department at Baldwin Wallace University invites applications for a Tenure-Track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning Fall 2022.


The individual hired for this position will have responsibilities in teaching, professional development, and service. This new colleague should have experience and expertise in teaching one of the areas of marketing (international, digital, consumer behavior, analytics) at the undergraduate and MBA level.

 

The teaching load may include face-to-face, hybrid, and/or online delivery methods. In addition to teaching responsibilities, this position would also require student advising, and university service. The individual will also be responsible for contributing to assessment of student learning outcomes, and engaging in other service activities within the department, college, campus, community, and profession.

 

The marketing program is one of Baldwin Wallace University's largest, and currently serves over 100 majors and 150 minors. Our faculty are committed to excellence in teaching, service, and the integration of ideas, technologies, and developments within the discipline.

Courses of interest would be in the areas of marketing management, consumer behavior, business/marketing analytics, digital marketing, and research methods. The candidate should also be willing to cover other core or applied marketing topics as needed. Applicants who can enhance the department's strength in digital media and data-driven marketing are preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Preferred candidates will have an earned doctorate or terminal degree in Marketing or a related field. Candidates with earned degrees will be given preference, but ABDs will also be considered.
  • Successful candidates will demonstrate subject matter expertise in the field of marketing, evidence of teaching excellence (preferably in face-to-face and online classes), skill in engaging students through active and collaborative learning, competent use of instructional technology, and exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • The selected candidate will be expected to teach courses in Marketing (and related areas) effectively in the bachelor’s and master’s programs.
