Department Summary
University Health Services (UHS) is a unit within the Division of Student Services and Enrollment Management and is a nationally accredited (AAAHC) outpatient clinic providing primary care to students at the University of Oregon. All staff are required to uphold the values of the UHS.
This position works in support of the University Health Services mission and vision and is consistent with UO policy. Some aspects of this position may be completed in collaboration with other University departments.
Position Summary
This position supports the work of the University of Oregon's Corona Corps and Oregon Public Health Corps. The Corona Corps is responsible for supporting students who have tested positive for COVID-19 or who are determined to be a close contact. The Oregon Public Health Corps is an Oregon Health Authority-funded public health response team formed to address COVID-19 and other communicable diseases.
The program coordinator oversees the hiring, onboarding, training, occupational health screening, payroll administration, and scheduling of student employees, ensuring appropriate laws, rules, and UO policies and procedures are followed.
This position also assists with recruiting new Corona Corps/Oregon Public Health Corps members and supporting the work of the Corona Corps Care Team as appropriate. This position also provides administrative support to the Co-directors and supervisors of the programs.
This position could be asked to work evenings and weekends.
Minimum Requirements - Three years of office experience which included two years at
full performance level and experience generating documents;
AND
- Lead work responsibility or coordination of office
procedures.
Special Qualifications: - Position requires successful completion of a criminal
background check and routine screening of Medicaid and Medicare
Exclusion Lists. Employee loses eligibility for employment if on
the List of Excluded Individuals and Entities (LEIE) and/or System
of Award Management (SAM).
- Must be in compliance with UHS policies regarding tuberculosis
screening, measles and mumps (MMR), seasonal flu, hepatitis B, and
other immunization requirements.
Professional Competencies - Demonstrated experience with and/or commitment to working
effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds, in support
of an inclusive and welcoming environment.
- Ability to be detail-oriented.
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently.
- Ability to maintain accuracy and reliability.
- Knowledge of Excel, Teams, MS Office applications.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
