Job Summary:

This position performs advanced accounting duties following generally accepted accounting principles and procedures. The incumbent will prepare and review financial reports and assist with budgeting. This position ensures the accurate recording and reporting of the business unit's financial transactions.

Qualifications:

- Minimum of two years experience working in an accounting financial system and knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) is required.
- Two years of experience budgeting related to clinical, research and teaching
endeavors preferred.
- Previous experience in an academic medical center is highly desirable.
- Effective oral and written communication skills, independent problem solving and analytical skills, attention to detail and organization, and an outgoing and energetic service-oriented approach required.
- Experience providing technical assistance to diverse audience with broad range of accounting backgrounds.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of word processing, accounting software, database, Adobe, and spreadsheet applications.

Additional Information:

The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring eligibility for employment in the United States on or before the effective date of the appointment. University sponsorship is not available for this position.
