Job Summary:

Marist College invites applications for the position of Associate Sports Information Director & Athletic Social Media Coordinator. The Associate Sports Information Director & Athletic Social Media Coordinator oversees development and execution of social media platforms and is responsible for developing and executing clearly defined social media strategies. The Associate Sports Information Director & Athletic Social Media Coordinator will work with individual sports and areas within the Department of Athletics to promote develop consistency in social media messaging.

Minimum Qualifications:

A bachelor’s degree in Communications or related field is required. A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is required.

Essential Functions:
  • Oversee the development and execution of social media platforms to ensure the maximization of creative and effective messaging to targeted audiences
  • Develop and execute a clearly defined social media strategy for individual sports and areas within the athletics department
  • Work with individual sports and areas within the athletics department to promote and coordinate consistence in social media messaging
  • Utilize social media to promote teams, student athletes and upcoming events
  • Design graphics for Athletics website, social media and various publications
  • Organize and maintain sports information and photo archives
  • Maintain webpages for the department’s official website
  • Serve as the Department of Athletics’ liaison to the Center for Sports Communication
  • Other duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications:

A master’s degree in Communications or related field is preferred. Additionally, previous experience in college athletics is strongly preferred.
