The School of International Service (SIS) at American University (AU) invites applications for a term faculty appointment for AY 21-22 for a scholar or practitioner with specialization in international economics to join our online MA degree programs. SIS has two online-only MA programs, an MA in international relations program and a joint degree in international relations and business with the AU’s Kogod School of Business.

The position is intended for a person who would teach introduction to economics and international economics MA-level courses.

Rank will be dependent on experience and stature in the field. The appointment is a full-time, non-tenure, 12-month term position and will commence on January 1, 2022. Salary is competitive.

Applicants should hold a PhD or the highest equivalent degree in economics, or international political economy by the start date. Highly qualified and experienced practitioners with equivalent (MA/MS and ten years of relevant professional experience) will also be considered.
