The Physics department at Syracuse University is soliciting applications for a postdoctoral research associate who will work in Experimental Nuclear Physics experiments at JLab(Newport News, VA) , including MOLLER and SoLID.

The initial appointment is for one year with the possibility of renewal. Qualified candidates should submit their curriculum vitae and cover letter to the online position posting. Questions and inquiries can be directed to Prof. Paul Souder (
pasouder@syr.edu ). The successful candidate will be stationed at JLab (Newport News, VA) or at SU.

Qualifications
Applicants must have a Ph.D. in experimental nuclear or particle physics. Prior experience with both software and hardware in accelerator-based experiments is desirable. Job Specific Qualifications Responsibilities
Duties include measuring parity-violating electroweak asymmetries. The primary responsibility will be to participate in the design of two new major spectrometers, SOLID and MOLLER and participate in ongoing experiments at Jefferson Laboratory, including the commissioning and data taking of the approved PREx and CREx parity-violating electron scattering experiments in Hall A. You will also join members of the Experimental Nuclear Physics group conducting experiments to test the Standard Model, as well as low energy QCD, and the neutron distribution inside nuclei.
