Loyola University Chicago’s Quinlan School of Business invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Information Systems in the Information Systems and Supply Chain Management ( ISSCM ) Department, beginning in August of 2022.

Quinlan School of Business is located at the Water Tower Campus, in the heart of Chicago’s downtown Gold Coast neighborhood. Quinlan School of Business is composed of the following departments: Accounting and Business Law, Economics, Finance, ISSCM, Management, and Marketing. Information systems faculty members in the ISSCM department teach courses in the undergraduate, Master of Science in Information Systems and Analytics ( MSISA ), Master of Business Administration ( MBA ), Graduate Certificate in Business Data Analytics ( BDA Certificate), and Executive Education programs.

This position is a tenure-track nine-month appointment and has a competitive salary and benefits package commensurate with qualifications. The position requires serious commitment to teaching and research, in addition to service responsibilities. The faculty member will be engaged in teaching information systems courses ranging from introductory undergraduate courses to specialized upper level and graduate level courses. These courses range from traditional information systems courses (such as Business Requirements Analysis, Systems Analysis & Design, Computer Programming, Database Systems) to courses with analytics focus (such as Data Mining, Data Warehousing, Data Visualization, and Business Data Analytics). Regardless of the course level, the faculty member is expected to exhibit focus, determination, and enthusiasm for the course and the students. It’s equally important that the faculty member engages in dynamic discipline-related research producing a continuous stream of quality scholarly publications as well as other results of their scholarship. Qualifications
Required Qualifications:


· Earned Ph.D. in Information Systems or closely related discipline by August of 2022

· Evidence of interest, ability, and willingness to teach a variety of information systems courses (such as teaching statement, teaching evaluations)

· Evidence of the interest, ability, and willingness to engage in academic research and maintain an active research agenda (such as statement of research interests, samples of published work)

Preferred Areas of Specialization:


· Business Requirements Analysis

· Systems Analysis & Design

· Business Data Analytics
