The Feliciano School of Business at Montclair State University invites applications for a full-time tenure track faculty position in the Department of Economics at the Assistant Professor level, starting September 1, 2022. Candidates holding tenure at their current institution are invited to apply.

The candidate selected will be expected to contribute to and strengthen the understanding and transformation of health care policy, finance and delivery.  Faculty selected will teach courses in health economics, health policy and management, and or related fields to further enhance the advancement of economic sciences in healthcare delivery, financing, outcomes and policy.

Nearly 105 full-time faculty and 35 staff members bring an impressive range of expertise to the School, with terminal degrees and advanced training from leading universities.


Qualified candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Economics with specialization in Health Economics (or related degree/field). (or be expected to complete their Ph.D. by August 2022) and exhibit potential to publish in high-quality journals. Preference will be given to qualified candidates who have publications in peer-reviewed journals and /or strong research pipeline; delivered presentations at national and/or international conferences; demonstrated excellence in teaching evidenced by peer and student evaluations; have experience and/or interest in teaching and curricular development in on-line or hybrid formats; and have an interest in building relationships with business partners and other external stakeholders.
