Under the direction of the Vice President of Administrative Services, the Executive Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion will have the primary responsibility of supporting and advancing a vision and effective strategy that champions the importance and value of a diverse and inclusion culture. The Executive Director will engage faculty, staff, and students to build a welcoming and inclusive culture at the college including assessing potential barriers and designing training initiatives that increase awareness and support equity and inclusion and compliance with applicable laws. In collaboration with the Compliance Officer, Dean of Students, and Chief Human Resources Officer, the Executive Director oversees compliance with Title IV, Title VI, Title VII, Title IX, and EEO/AA ensuring equitable treatment of all faculty, staff, administrators and students and prompt resolution of charges of discrimination and all First Amendment, Title IV, VI, VII, IX and EEO violations. The Executive Director is dedicated to the learning college concepts by developing programs and facilitating activities that promote student success and lifelong learning.
Education and Experience:
- Master's degree and four (4) or more years' experience in Title IV, Title VI, Title VII, and Title IX administration required.
- In-depth knowledge of critical diversity, equity and inclusion issues.
- Successful experience in providing education, training, and professional development programs in an effort to create awareness and develop a culturally competent campus climate.
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal employment, civil rights/EEO/AA, and higher education laws.
- Ability to build consensus, cultivate collaborative teams, facilitate dialogue on sensitive topics/difficult issues in a complex and diverse environment.
- Experience working with diverse populations.
- Demonstrative evidence of effective leadership, interpersonal, writing, presentation, communication, analytical, and organization skills.
- Demonstrated use of technology and Microsoft Office software.
- Higher education experience. Report and grant writing experience preferred
Hours: Monday - Friday; 8:00am to 5:15pm.
Minimum starting salary: $102,400
