Job Description and
Responsibilities:
The Manship School of Mass Communication at Louisiana
State University invites applications for a nine-month non-tenure
track position in Mass Communication as a Professional-in-Residence
to begin in fall 2022.
We seek a distinguished media practitioner to teach
courses in the Manship School undergraduate core curriculum and/or
courses in public relations, strategic communication and courses
related to their areas of expertise.
A candidate hired as a professional-in-residence,
would also supervise undergraduate research and creative work. They
will also develop a portfolio of service activities, including
support for the Manship School’s efforts to promote more diverse
and inclusive media professions.
• Teach four public relations courses per semester.

Qualifications-Professional-in-Residence
applicants: Master’s degree in Journalism, Mass
Communication or related discipline and eight years of related
experience.

Policy Research Lab, Media Effects Lab and Social Media Analysis
& Creation Lab.
