Job Description:

The Accounting program at York College of Pennsylvania is pleased to invite applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Accounting to begin in August 2022. We seek candidates with a specialization in auditing, as well as the ability to teach a variety of other accounting courses at both the undergraduate level and in the Master of Accounting program.

York College is a teaching-focused institution, and we seek applicants with genuine interest for both teaching and ongoing scholarly activity, as well as service to the college community. Holding regular office hours, demonstrating an appropriate degree of professional activity (particularly with regard to pedagogy), and attending all meetings relevant to the position is expected. Assistant professors are encouraged to attend College sponsored activities.


Requirements:

Applicants should have a Ph.D. in Accounting by the start of the initial contract period. Consideration will be given to ABD candidates with a defined plan to complete their degree requirements within 12 months. Evidence of research potential is expected. Preference will be given to candidates with relevant professional experience and certifications.
