Job Summary:

Through a collaborative partnership, the University of Wisconsin Department of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation and Division of Intercollegiate Athletics have created a multidisciplinary program that focuses on the betterment of student-athletes through the advancement of sports medicine and sciences. This program, Badger Athletic Performance, dedicates itself to the mission of maximizing each University of Wisconsin student-athlete's on-field performance through the integration of science, training, and injury management.

Our lab is seeking to hire a motivated individual to serve as research coordinator for a new study to quantify on-field head impacts experienced by University of Wisconsin football linemen. The research coordinator must possess strong organizational and inter-personal skills, be intrinsically motivated and able to work independently yet thrives in a team environment.

Education:

Required
Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology, Athletic Training, Biomechanics, Biomedical Engineering, Biology, or related field.

Qualifications:

Preference given to those with experience in collegiate athletics.

The successful candidate will have:
-Strong organizational and inter-personal skills.
-Ability to work independently in the performance of the position requirements.
-Schedule flexibility required to attend all team practices and games.

Additional Information:

This position has been identified as a position of trust with access to vulnerable populations. The selected candidate will be required to pass an initial Caregiver Check to be eligible for employment under the Wisconsin Caregiver Law and then every two years.
