The Yale Environmental Humanities Program and the Yale Center for the Study of Race, Indigeneity, and Transnational Migration invite applications for a one-year Postdoctoral Associate position to begin July 1, 2022. Applications will be considered from scholars in the humanities, humanistic social sciences, and arts. Applicants should have expertise that connects issues of race, indigeneity, or transnational migration with environmental challenges and struggles in the past or present. The selected Fellow will be expected to be in residence throughout the term of their appointment, participate in campus programing, advance their own scholarship, and teach one undergraduate course. Fellows will be provided a salary of $58,000 plus benefits and a research budget.

 

Applicants must have the PhD in hand by June 30, 2022 and must have received their PhD or equivalent degree after September 2018. A cover letter, CV, chapter-length writing sample, one-page proposal for a course, one-page description of a research or writing plan for the year, and three letters of reference should be submitted through Interfolio.
