Job Summary: This position is responsible for providing paraprofessional support including student and employer outreach, marketing events, coordinating and executing events.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma and two years of related experience or a combination of experience and education sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.

Hiring Range: $16.32

Job Specific Task List:

1.Plans, coordinates, and executes events to connect employers, students, and alumni such as targeted career fairs, networking events, on-campus interview events, and employer visitation tables.

2. Develops and carries out strategic outreach plans to market career fairs and other employment events to appropriate groups of students; enlists the support of program faculty to improve student attendance at career events.

3. Interacts and corresponds with employers who wish to establish partnerships with the college; manages the college’s employment/job search database and educates employers how to post jobs; may travel to off-site meetings at employer organizations and other community locations.

4. Visits classrooms to help students prepare for upcoming career events; partners with career education staff to ensure students come to career events professionally ready; develops and creates collateral, materials, and resources that educate students about interacting with employers.

5. Collects and assesses data and feedback to evaluate the efficacy of employer partnership efforts and to discern areas for improvement.

6. Ensures that the needs of virtual students are met through employer partnership programming, including some programming that is virtual-specific.

7. Develops expertise in an assigned content area; remains current on new and innovative practices in the field; develops and maintains a network with colleagues through professional organizations and other types of professional alliances; researches and identifies best practices that promote successful employer relationships and connect students and alumni to careers.

8. Travels to all HACC locations to conduct regular group and individual meetings with faculty and staff.

9. Gives special attention to provide equal opportunities for all students and to develop non-discriminatory processes for recruitment.

10. Provides administrative support through cold calling or running integral reports; schedules events; creates postings; develop marketing pieces; performs data entry. - (Essential)
