Job Summary
Associate Counsel for Policy & Compliance is responsible for assisting the General Counsel in managing the College's legal affairs in all areas of the law applicable to JCCC as an institution of higher education, specifically through the implementation and support of preventative law and compliance strategies and the provision on-demand legal services and claims/litigation management.
Required Qualifications
Juris doctorate and admission to practice law in Kansas required. Excellent analytical and research skills. Ability to work effectively with employees and constituents of a comprehensive community college. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to articulate complex issues and distill into various components that relate to the College's activities.
Preferred Qualifications
Higher education law experience preferred.
