Typical Duties
VCU Athletics is seeking a Video Production Manager to act as the Executive Producer for VCU Athletics home events, press conferences, and special events that are streamed live on ESPN+. This position will execute web streaming and provide audio and video technical assistance for multimedia elements for the department. In addition, this position will hire, train, and schedule part-time employees and students to exceed conference standards for live video production.
Reporting to the Sr. Associate AD for External Relations, the Video Production Manager works to further VCU Athletics’ mission to win conference and national championships, provide a first-class student-athlete experience, serve as a source of pride for the University and community, and cultivate graduates who excel as leaders.
Typical Education and Experience
Minimum hiring standards include:
- Bachelor's Degree or training and work experience that equates to a Bachelor's Degree;
- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in video streaming, audio, and live production; and
- Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff,and student environment or commitment to do so as a staff member at VCU.
Preferred Hiring Standards
- An advanced degree or training and work experience that equates to an advanced degree; and
- Experience with ESPN+.
