We are searching for candidates that meet the required qualifications and experience and are able to perform the essential duties and responsibilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Advise and assist financial aid and veteran students through the process of applying for benefits/aid to receiving award/benefit payments.

Required Qualifications:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Oversee all phases of student loan applications and disbursement. Ensure compliance with federal regulations.
  • Advise financial aid students, parents and the general public in regards to the verification process through the awarding process in accordance with Federal/State and Institutional rules and regulations.
  • Perform electronic submission and receipt of Federal student loan files. Assist with reconciliation of federal student loan funds.
  • Interface with the Business Office regarding student loan issues and student loan returns. Interface with COD regarding loan distribution, loan issues and problems.
  • Update staff on loan processes and regulation updates and changes.
  • Research and interpret federal regulations involving loan processing, disbursement and the return of funds. Troubleshoot issues, run and review loan exception reports and make corrections, as necessary.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Perform all duties to maintain all standards in accordance with college policies, procedures, and Core Values.

Physical Demands, Working Conditions and Physical Effort
Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, a negligible amount of force frequently, and/or constantly having to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met. Positions in this class typically require talking, hearing, seeing, grasping, standing, walking and repetitive motions. Relatively free from unpleasant environmental conditions or hazards. Office environment. Little physical effort required.

Requirements
Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution and two (2) years of related experience required.
