Suffolk University is pleased to announce a career opportunity to teach a (small class size) doctoral-level course on Social Psychology during the Spring semester to Clinical Psychology doctoral students at Suffolk University. The course will be taught in person (see course details below).

Course Title: Social Bases of Behavior & Experience

Course Section Number: PSYCH-732-AE

Meeting Time: Monday 5:00pm – 7:30pm

Start Date: January 24, 2022; End date: May 2, 2022

Course Description: Introduces students to the social bases of behavior and experience through examination of some traditional topics from the field of social psychology. These include social cognition; self-knowledge; self-presentation; attitude formation and change; attraction and close relations; altruism; aggression; prejudice and stereotypes; and group dynamics. In addition, the course may include a discussion of cross-cultural approaches to healing and the relationship between culture and mental health.

Requirements:

PhD in Psychology or related field
Ability to teach on-campus and following Suffolk's COVID-19 protocols
Demonstrated ability to teach a diverse student body
