- Work closely with CSC staff members to implement marketing initiatives to specific target audiences to increase participation in the Center’s programs
- Develop, manage, and execute a social media strategy for the Center, including analyzing results and engagement for a variety of constituents, including students, community partners, staff, and faculty
- Create and manage website content, coordinating with the Student Affairs communications team and CSC staff
- Manage Center’s e-marketing systems, Constant Contact, Hopkins Groups, and Campus Groups, for distributing monthly electronic newsletters, updates, and other communications
- Work with CSC staff to identify students and community partners to be featured in spotlight stories on social media and other marketing platforms that help tell the CSC story
- Ensure content on the CSC’s website, social media, and related digital platforms is consistent with established university-wide and Student Affairs standards and guidelines
- Ensure consistent messaging and branding across all CSC communications
- Create and distribute semester reports as needed to university stakeholders providing updates on the Center, including assessment-related data
- Provide presentations and information sessions to students, parents, staff, faculty, and partners
Other Duties:

Participate as an active
member of cross functional teams (programming, student training,
projects, and partnerships) to meet the overarching goals of the
CSC
Assist in creation and
marketing efforts for university-wide initiatives such as Hopkins
Votes and Hopkins Engage
Participate in university
committees that support the work of the Center
Supervise student staff
who support marketing, communications, and branding
efforts
Serve as an advisor to
student organizations, supporting their executive boards in
navigating their community service and civic
engagement
Provide support for
divisional projects and initiatives at the direction of the Student
Affairs communications team

Two years of college
coursework and some related experience required
Bachelor’s Degree in
Marketing, Communications, or related field
preferred
- Demonstrated skills in creating marketing and communications for diverse audiences, preferably in a student services or nonprofit setting
Special Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Have a knack for storytelling
- Experience managing social media accounts and planning content strategically using data analytics to increase reach and impact
- A creative and forward thinking-approach to internal and external communications
- Working knowledge of layout/web design (Wordpress), HTML/CSS, videography; graphic design experience a plus, Canva, and Adobe Creative Suite preferred
- A collaborative and team-based approach to solutions
- Excellent oral, written, and verbal communication skills
- Organized, detail-oriented, and must work well in a fast-paced environment and be able to manage multiple high-priority assignments
- Self-motivated with excellent problem-solving and time-management skills
