Job Summary:

The Recruiter is responsible for providing overall management of the clinical research recruitment
process for a subset of departments within the School of Medicine and Public Health. This position serves as a point of contact to recruit, retain, and sustain a high-quality workforce prepared to address challenges in a clinical research environment. This includes recruitment, marketing and outreach, appointment processing, and onboarding of clinical research staff. The incumbent is expected to employ strategies to attract both passive and active job seekers to fill clinical research roles and establish a talent pipeline.

- The successful candidate will be a nimble problem-solver with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communications skills (written and verbal) are required. This includes the ability to effectively interact and communicate strategically with candidates, physicians, and administrative leadership, prepare professional written communication accurately for both internal and external audiences, and to facilitate negotiations between candidates and physician leadership.
- Ability to work under pressure to meet multiple demands while maintaining service standards is required. The incumbent is expected to be resourceful and manage the workload independently, with the support and cooperation of departmental leadership and HR staff as needed.
- This position requires considerable independent judgment, initiative, creativity, discretion, and problem-solving ability as well as strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

Education:

Required
Bachelor's Degree
Major in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field preferred.

Qualifications:

Required:
-Minimum of three years experience in recruitment required, preferably including supporting search committees or sourcing candidates.
-Professional experience managing and improving complex administrative processes.
-Strong MS Office skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Preferred:
-Five or more years experience in recruitment in higher education, clinical, research, or other medical settings.
-SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred.
-Experience managing projects and vendor relationships with external consultants.
-Knowledge and experience in marketing of clinical research vacancies and in the preparation of advertising and the use of social media such as LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, etc.
-Knowledge and experience with UW and SMPH recruitment policies and procedures and standards and best practices for recruiting.

Additional Information:

The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring eligibility for employment in the United States on or before the effective date of the appointment. University sponsorship is not available for this position.
