Job Summary:

This position works under the direction of the Director of MBA and Master's Admissions and Recruitment and will be the primary lead for building diverse recruitment channels for candidates who identify as LGBTQ+, BIPOC, and women. This position will manage the recruitment relations with ROMBA, Consortium, Forte and MBA Veterans. In the role, they are responsible to build community relationships both on and off campus with organizations and leaders to promote the MBA and Master's programs. This position will work both independently and collaboratively to develop new programs and ideas while thinking of ways to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of recruitment tactics. This role will be a member of the admissions committee that will evaluate candidates to our MBA and Master's programs to build a diverse group of students in each program. The successful person in this role will have a demonstrate background of building a diverse and inclusive community.

Counsels prospective and admitted graduate students on educational planning and career opportunities(15%)
-Meet with candidates during campus visits, provide information on the program and help candidates in selecting a career specialization.
-Participate in information sessions, on-line chats and prospective student events to answer candidate questions.

Reviews, evaluates, and responds to student applications for admission to a graduate program according to established policies and procedures(15%)
-Review admission applications and be a part of the admissions committee in making decisions on admission and merit financial aid.
-Interview and evaluate candidates by video conference or in-person.
-Work with the Director on Consortium fellowship select.

Identifies opportunities for and develops admissions and outreach events(10%)
-Serve as the admissions representative for OP Boot Camp and On Wisconsin planning committee

Schedules logistics and secures resources for events to promote the institution(5%)

Evaluates program effectiveness and provides recommendations for improvement(5%)

Creates targeted communication plans and materials based on established goals(5%)
-Assist in the development of communication messages that are sent out through the online application system to prospects and applicants that come through Consortium, Forte, ROMBA and MBA Veterans.

Delivers directed admissions program messaging to internal and external audiences(10%)
-Work with the Admissions Director and the School of Business marketing and communication department on developing and promoting the Wisconsin MBA brand

Identifies, promotes, and maintains internal and external partnerships focusing on outreach, recruitment, and admission(15%)
-Recruit prospective MBA and master's candidates through attendance at local, regional, and national recruitment events.
-Work with Consortium, ROMBA and Forte alumni to help at national recruitment events.

Liaison for Forte, ROMBA, Consortium and MBA Vets; develop programming for candidates that are specific to women, LGBTQ+ and BIPOC candidates(20%)
-Design and offer workshops/events targeting undergraduate, women and BIPOC students
-Manage and coordinate the Equity and Inclusion Summit associated with the MBA Preview Day

Education:

Required: Bachelor's degree required, master's degree preferred in any field

Qualifications:

Three years in any of the areas such as DEI, marketing, sales, and/or higher education or related professional experience required. Two years of specific admissions experience with a college or university is preferred.

Well qualified candidates will possess:

-Keen attention to detail and precision
-Excellent organizational and time management skills
-Ability to work under deadline pressures while managing multiple priorities in a fast paced, deadline- driven setting
-High degree of initiative
-Proven success in working both independently and in teams
-Provide a high level of customer service while utilizing a strong professional presence
-Excellent technical skills, such as a familiarity with spreadsheets, databases, and/or recruiting and admissions software
