Job Description:

GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Office Assistant role supports the technical and administrative functions within the Online and Blended Learning Office. Applicants must possess strong computer skills, including skill with Microsoft Office Suite and Google applications, and the ability to complete primary job functions.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:

1. Answers phone inquiries and directs questions to the proper resources.
2. Provides on and off-hours (evening) support for students and faculty remotely (Zoom) and Face-to-face.
3. Staffs the Online & Blended Learning Office for in-person inquiries.
4. Provides student-centered customer service and support.
5. Replies to email inquiries from Massachusetts Colleges Online (MCO) https://www.mco.mass.edu/.
6. Answers student questions and solves problems using Moodle.
7. Gathers and analyzes large data sets.
8. Maintains and updates academic course maps for online courses that complete Associate and Certificate degree programs.
9. Collects data to create charts, graphs, and tables for visualization.
10. Pulls from multiple data sources for reporting to College.
11. Performs other duties as assigned within the Online & Blended Learning Office.


Requirements:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
2. An understanding of the mission of Cape Cod Community College.
3. Proficiency with MS Office Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook, and Google applications.
4. Proficiency with Web-streaming services (i.e. Zoom, Skype, etc.).
5. Strong web-based computing skills.
6. Strong interpersonal and oral communications skills.
7. Ability to work calmly and patiently with students and members of the College community, and to work effectively with a diverse population.
8. Strong organizational skills, including the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
9. Excellent telephone and e-mail communication skills.
10. Ability to work as a team member.

ADDITIONAL PREFERRED QUALIFICATION:

Experience with online learning activities.

Additional Information:

COMPENSATION : $17.00 per hour, up to 18 hours per week. Non-benefited, Non-unit position.
