This position is part of the Operations and Systems team within the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships. Primary responsibilities involve data exchanges to and from the US Department of Education and associated entities including ISIRS and various other flat files. This position is responsible for dataload processing of ISIRS into Banner and running processes to assign tracking groups and requirements, budgets groups and financial aid award packages for graduate and undergraduate students. This position is responsible for the administering and monitoring of all transfer monitoring processes. The position resolves social security number discrepancies existing between ISIR data and the Banner student information system. This position works closely with other institutional offices to identify and deactivate multiple student identification numbers. The incumbent creates award notices and missing information notifications to students. Also, this position maintains a regular schedule for file exchanges, regularly reviews output for quality assurance and assists in special tasks as assigned in support of the Operations and Systems unit.
The incumbent will work with the management team to develop and recommend policies and implementation procedures for institutional, state and federal financial aid programs. All duties require monitoring and keeping current on state and federal regulations and office policies and procedures in order to ensure accurate and efficient release of information and program compliance.

35% Responsible for importing ISIR records containing FAFSA data across multiple aid years
15% Responsible for monitoring weekly financial aid award packaging processes and reporting any issues
15% Assist with the processing of over awards and other duties as assigned in support of the operations unit or OFAS
10% Responsible for working interdepartmentally to resolve issues arising from students having multiple Student ID Numbers created within Banner
5% Responsible for administering and monitoring transfer monitoring processes.
5% Responsible for processing of SSNHOLD documentation for students with discrepant social security numbers existing in Banner
10% Responsible for creating Financial Aid Award and Missing Information Letter notices to students via email and mail merge physical documents
5% Updates and trains internal staff as subject matter expert in areas of responsibility. Develops and maintains policies and procedures on principal job duties.

If fluent in another language, employee may be asked to counsel students/parents in that language. Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or 8 years of professional financial aid experience
• Experience collaborating and working on teams
• Previous financial aid or higher education experience
