Coordinator for Student Success Initiatives (00825A) 

 

Coordinate programming, activities, and initiatives supporting the persistence and degree completion of students. Support and assist SEES Sub-populations Leads in the implementation of programs focused on sub-populations.

 

Required Qualifications:

Working knowledge of college student development theory. Working knowledge of best practices, trends, and research focused on mitigating the factors adversely impacting these sub-populations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills needed to serve in a diverse and multidisciplinary environment. Problem solving, programming and project management and coordination skills. Demonstrated ability in providing empathetic care and support services for students. Some experience and proven effectiveness in working independently and as member of a team, communication, problem solving and project/task coordination and management. Some experience providing support and guidance regarding available resources to students from varied populations. Some experience providing empathetic care and support services for students.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Some experience in developing and assessing programs and evidence-based strategies focused on under-served and emerging sub-populations. Some budget management experience. Some experience in writing reports and making presentations. Strong communication skills and ability to establish and sustain effective partnerships with internal and external stakeholders. Master’s degree in Higher Education Student Affairs, Counseling, Human Services, Social Work, or related fields. Excellent analytical skills in interpreting quantitative and qualitative data.
