Position Description

The Physics Department at Seattle University (SU) invites applications for a full-time instructor position to begin in the fall of 2022. This is a non-tenure track, nine-month academic year position occupying a line in the department budget, on a renewable two-year contract cycle. 

We seek a thoughtful individual with a strong dedication to undergraduate teaching and career mentorship. Successful applicants will have demonstrated excellence in teaching and a commitment to stimulating a joy of lifelong learning in students. Responsibilities will include the following: teaching college-level introductory physics; teaching upper-level undergraduate physics; teaching University Core courses, such as astronomy, for non-science majors; service activities at the department, college, or university level. Qualifications

Candidates must have an earned doctorate in any area of physics or astronomy.
