Position Summary:
The Academic Publications and Curriculum Coordinator is responsible for the compilation, editing, and maintenance of the General Catalog and the electronic catalog system. Updating and maintaining curricular information and specific faculty information in the BANNER database system. Providing support to the University Curriculum Committee. Advising academic units on policies and procedures for the submission of curricular changes. Providing support to the Office of the Registrar in matters involving the degree audit system, and classroom scheduling. Assisting the classroom scheduling team during peak periods and coordinating curriculum changes with academic scheduling. The person is a member of the Office of the Registrar team and works cooperatively with others to achieve University and Office of the Registrar goals.

Minimum Qualifications:
• High school diploma, completion of high school equivalency or GED.
• One year experience working in higher education or comparable experience working in publications or marketing.
• Experience in researching, interpreting, and applying policies and procedures.
• Experience giving strong attention to detail and editing skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Experience working in a Registrar’s Office or other related field.
• Experience working with university curricular affairs.
• Experience working with electronic catalog systems.
• Knowledge of UI academic rules and regulations for undergraduate level advising and curriculum.
• Knowledge of Banner, particularly the student module and web interfaces.
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills while working under pressure and with various types of groups.
• Ability to understand and explain complex concepts to others in a clear manner.
• Ability to examine documents for accuracy and completeness.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in situations requiring creative and analytical thinking.
