Established in 1887 as a school for the education of American
Indians, The University of North Carolina at Pembroke serves a

Nontenure-Track Position: Lecturer of Biology: Anatomy and
Physiology. Minimum degree required is a Master’s degree in an
appropriate area of Biology or related field with demonstration of
excellence in teaching strongly preferred. Broadly trained
biologist needed for teaching responsibilities of both lectures and
labs among a variety of Anatomy and Physiology and Human Biology
courses depending on candidate’s background and qualifications,
beginning Fall 2022 (9-month appointment).
Minimum Training and Experience Requirements: Minimum degree required is a Master’s degree in an appropriate area of Biology or related field with demonstration of excellence in teaching strongly preferred.
Management Preference: Prior experience teaching in higher education. Preference given to candidates with potential for both independent and student-mentored research, though teaching remains the primary responsibility.
