Assistant Professor for Native North American History (Tenure Track, F0249A1)

The History Department at Old Dominion University invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor, beginning in July 2022, with research concentration in Native North American History and a preference for expertise in Environmental History. Field of specialization is open; applicants who can contribute to interdisciplinary programs in interethnic studies and are interested in community outreach are preferred. Candidates must demonstrate ability to teach a United States survey course, undergraduate courses on Early and Revolutionary North America, and undergraduate and graduate courses in their areas of expertise. Ph.D. in history or a related field (such as American Studies or Native American Studies) is required by the time of appointment.
