Job Summary: SUNY Brockport invites applications for an Assistant Professor position in the Department of Nursing to begin Fall Semester 2022. Position has responsibility for teaching a 3-3 load per semester in the DNP and Masters programs, both in person and online, engaging in scholarly activity, and service to the department, campus, and profession.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Terminal degree from a college or university accredited by a
U.S. Department of Education recognized accrediting
organization.
- Masters degree in nursing or doctor in nursing practice (DNP)
from a college or university accredited by a U.S. Department of
Education recognized accrediting organization.
- Valid NYS professional nursing license.
- Board Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner or
Adult/GERO Nurse Practitioner.
- Recent clinical experience as an advanced practice
nurse.
- Demonstrated proficiency with assessment and evaluation of
health care organizational systems.
- Ability to work effectively with students, public, college
community and external constituencies, with an appreciation for
cultural and group differences.
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with the development of curriculum.
- Experience teaching in the online milue.
- Knowledge of basic computer programs and information technology
systems.
