The Economics and Business Administration Department at Presbyterian College invites applications for a tenure-track position in Accounting at the Assistant Professor level to begin in Fall 2022.
Teaching areas include Financial and Managerial Accounting
Principles and upper level accounting courses. Candidates will need
to be able to teach either Auditing or Taxation as one of the upper
level accounting courses. This professor may also be responsible
for offering other business and finance courses as needed.
Presbyterian College typically has a 3-4 teaching load. Additional
responsibilities include advising students, assessing student
learning, curriculum development, and providing service to the
department, college, and community.
Candidates must demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching
undergraduates in a liberal art setting. The College’s two
accounting professors support undergraduate majors in Economics and
Business Administration (with concentrations in Accounting,
Management, Marketing or Data Analytics). We believe that a diverse
faculty and staff are essential to achieving academic excellence;

At a minimum, candidates should have a Master in Accounting degree
or MBA with an Accounting concentration from an AACSB accredited
program. CPA, CMA, or other accounting related designations are
desirable.
