Job Summary

The Assistant Dean for Enrollment Management will supervise the admissions and communications/marketing functions for the Drexel University Kline School of Law (KSoL) for all the various programs: JD, LLM and MLS programs, as well as any other degree or certificate programs that the law school may develop. The Assistant Dean must be able to work with the law school administration, as well as other branches of Drexel University to ensure that the law school’s quantitative and qualitative enrollment goals are met.

The Assistant Dean must bring an understanding of higher education marketing and enrollment as well as experience building strong working relationships with faculty, students, administrators, alumni, and other University constituents.

Essential Functions
  • Serve as the KSoL liaison for the MLS, JD, LLM, Certificate and Undergraduate programs with the University and external resources and vendors. Liaise with other colleges, institutions, external agencies (including the American Bar Association and the Association of American Law Schools), and prospective students. Represent the law school at recruitment fairs, forums, and panels across the US.
  • Supervise full-time staff in the admissions department. Manage budgets for both departments. Manage the school’s overall student application process ensuring that qualitative and quantitative enrollment goals are met.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with Drexel University Online, providing close supervision of their marketing efforts with respect to all relevant programs. Organize and coordinate events related to recruitment of online students.
  • Supervise the KSoL Communications Department and ensure all efforts align with the school’s brand and goals. Determine advertising placement for the law school, including sponsorships, recruitment advertising and promotion in trade materials. Ensure that Admissions webpages and admitted student portal provides up-to-date and relevant information.
  • Manage the admissions communication sequence throughout the entire admissions funnel. This includes (but not limited to) the sequencing of mailings as well as creation (writing) of marketing and transactional emails.
Required Qualifications
  • JD or Master’s degree in a relevant field
  • At least eight years of experience working in higher education administration, or its equivalent
  • Ability to effectively organize and implement projects, and collaborate with, or supervise, others (as appropriate) to achieve project goals
  • Experience managing full-time staff
  • Budget management experience
  • Possess a team-oriented approach, and ability to work effectively with others
  • Strong interpersonal, communication (both written and verbal), analytic and quantitative skills are essential
