Job Description

PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

Reporting to the Executive Director of Community Colleges for International Development, Inc. (CCID), the Manager, CCID Marketing and Outreach’s primary function is to oversee, develop, and implement communications and marketing material designed to retain and grow membership for CCID. The position requires meetings with members and potential members to discuss member benefits and representing CCID at conferences and events. In addition, this person will assist with ensuring financial compliance and stability through managing member payments, assisting with external payments and preparing budget reports.

This is a CCID funded position. Continued employment is contingent upon CCID funding.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Develops and implements effective marketing and communications strategy to maintain and grow membership incorporating website, social media, email, newsletters, and other methods of communication
  2. Updates and maintains membership management system database, including member billing and payments
  3. Assists in all aspects of planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating member events, particularly the annual conference and summer event
  4. Utilizes extensive knowledge and experience to inform CCID membership about programs, benefits, policies, and procedures, including representing CCID at conferences
  5. Works on teams including external and internal stakeholders to coordinate and implement CCID events, especially the annual conference and summer institute
  6. Assists with budget oversight and compliance, including reconciling various balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis, reviewing and monitoring account activity and notifying appropriate area of any needed corrections, and preparing journal entries.
  7. Responsible for timely submission of financial reports to a variety of internal and external constituents
  8. Provides supporting documentation as required by internal and external auditors
  9. Responsible for other duties as assigned


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  • Requires flexibility and a strong understanding of resources available and alternative approaches to completing tasks when needed
  • Excellent customer service skills with a high degree of integrity
  • Ability to prepare and analyze detailed reports and use data-driven information in decision making
  • Strong multi-tasking abilities with the ability to prioritize duties
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally and have flexible office hours when the tasks require
  • A strong understanding of accounting (within a non-profit, world-wide organization) to the extent that the employee can independently maintain and produce financial records and assess ways of working across multiple financial systems
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products
PHYSICAL ABILITIES:

The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee sits comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items, such as papers, books, or small parts; or driving an automobile. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.



WORK SCHEDULE AND CONDITIONS:
  • Equipment used includes, PC workstation running on a LAN in a Microsoft Windows environment, calculator, phone and other general office equipment
  • Interface with internal and external contacts as needed to carry out the functions of the position
  • Work is performed in a climate-controlled office with minimal exposure to safety hazards
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience in some aspect of international education
Salary

Hiring salary range is $56,370.00 to $64,826.00

Lone Star College provides a hiring salary range for all posted full-time non-faculty positions. Where your salary offer would fall in that range is determined by your related experience and education.
