In collaboration with Syracuse University’s Whitman School of Management, the College of Professional Studies offers an online bachelor degree in business management for non-traditional students. We invite applications for a full-time Assistant/Associate Teaching Professor position. Qualified applicants will be capable of teaching broadly across business disciplines. Expectations of teaching faculty include online undergraduate instruction and course development in our signature Professional Competencies Core, and in our online majors in Business Management and Creative Leadership. Teaching faculty must also engage in activities that maintain scholarly academic (SA) faculty qualifications under AACSB guidelines.

SA teaching faculty deliver an engaging and effective learning experience, publish a minimum of two scholarly articles in peer-reviewed journals every five years, and engage in related curriculum, course development, and student mentoring activities to make both an instructional and curricular impact within and beyond the College. SA teaching faculty will also maintain an informal affiliation with the Whitman School of Management. Candidates must possess a PhD and experience teaching business management/administration courses. The College of Professional Studies values practitioner experience and favors candidates with demonstrated excellence in online instruction and course development. This is a 12-month position (a renewable 3-year contract), with some flexibility based on when courses are scheduled.

The College of Professional Studies is a rapidly expanding college of Syracuse University, which currently includes part-time, undergraduate professional studies programs across five academic areas. Qualifications
Successful candidates must have an earned PhD in Management (or related field) by the start of the appointment. Candidates with experience will be considered, as will those who are currently ABD .
Preference will be given to candidates with experience teaching Finance/Accounting.
