Columbia-Greene Community College/SUNY seeks a dynamic, creative, and resourceful Director of Marketing and Communications to join the senior leadership team. The successful candidate will propel the institution forward in the post-pandemic era. Reporting to the President of the College, the Director of Marketing and Communications provides the vision, leadership, planning, and coordination in advancing an integrated marketing communications program that includes brand identity, advertising, digital and print publications, and strategic messaging for diverse audiences in Columbia and Greene Counties and beyond. 

 

The Director of Marketing and Communications serves every department in the College and maintains regular collaboration with the Offices of Admissions, Academic Affairs, Athletics, Student Development, Community Engagement, Information Technology, Institutional Research and Effectiveness, Workforce New York, and the Columbia-Greene Community College Foundation.

 

Minimum Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess exemplary writing and interpersonal skills along with a highly creative approach to building the College’s brand. Candidates must have a master’s degree in English, journalism, communications, marketing, or related field along with at least seven years of experience in marketing / communications. Familiarity with higher education marketing in general and community colleges in particular will be a plus. (See the Columbia-Greene Community College website for a complete job description.)

 

Salary and Benefit Information
