The University of Florida School of PA Studies invites applications for a full-time, non-tenured faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor/Associate Professor for the position of Associate Director. The UF School of PA Studies is located in Gainesville, Florida and is physically and academically housed within the College of Medicine. The UF School of PA Studies matriculates 60 students per cohort and has a long history of educating outstanding clinicians and leaders in healthcare. We seek a dynamic individual interested in joining an innovative, dedicated, and collaborative faculty in the role of Associate Director of the UF School of PA Studies.

The Associate Director works closely with and reports directly to the Director of the School of PA Studies. This position will be responsible for close monitoring of student progress, provide staff management leadership, actively mentor and support other faculty members, actively support the accreditation process, lead innovation and delivery in the curriculum and teach in both the didactic and clinical phases of the program The AD supports continuous data management, analysis and reporting for compliance to all ARC-PA, PAEA and regional accreditation standards. Additional responsibilities include: student assessment, remediation, student advisement, scholarship, service, and clinical practice. All faculty collaboratively participate in admissions, strategic planning, curriculum development, and continuous review and evaluation of the curriculum in support of accreditation standards.

Master’s degree from an ARC-PA accredited PA program (or related medical discipline, i.e., MD or DO) is required. Doctoral degree is preferred.

Preference will be given to candidates with a minimum of 3-years’ experience as a full-time clinician and 5 years demonstrated effective teaching experience in the classroom and/or clinical setting.

Current certification by the NCCPA (or ABMS- or AOA-approved specialty board) and FL State licensure (or eligibility for licensure).

Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills and a strong interest in delivering an experiential, student-focused curriculum.
