Job Description:

This is a Senior Groundskeeper position for Facilities Planning and Operations with the Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (IFAS), providing support to IFAS buildings and sites both on and off main campus. Duties will include:

Operating zero-turn mowers, weed-eaters, leaf blowers and edgers in the general grounds maintenance of IFAS units.

Assisting other trades by carrying materials and tools.

Assisting in spreading gravel and sand for roads and filling potholes as required.

Assisting in loading or unloading trucks of equipment and materials; moving and hauling furniture. Other job-related duties as required.

Some tasks may require driving a state vehicle to job sites.

Expected Salary:

$15-16 hourly, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Minimum Requirements:

Completion of ninth grade and one year of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

1) Knowledge of grounds keeping procedures.

2) Skill in the operation of lawn equipment.

3) Ability to follow instructions.

4) Ability to work well with others.
