Pratt Institute Office of Facilities Management is seeking a Project Manager who will be an integral part of the team by supporting the overall mission, goals, and strategic initiatives of the department. The Project Manager will be responsible for the coordination and completion of construction, renovation, and maintenance of projects within the Facilities Department. The successful candidate will monitor progress for all assigned projects ensuring all work is delivered on time, within budget, and conforms to scope. This person will serve as the liaison between Pratt Institute, its vendors, and contractors, and will oversee all aspects of the project budgets and minor rehab projects and prepare reports for distribution to the Executive Director regarding project status.

If you can demonstrate a proven track record in the successful and timely completion of facilities projects that are within budget and meets customer expectations, have the ability to comprehend, interpret and evaluate construction documents, and can demonstrate the ability to multi-task a wide variety of assignments in a fast-paced environment, then this could be the position for you!

On a typical day you will be required to:
  • Provide project coordination and contractor oversight on behalf of the Facilities Management Department
  • Provide support for the FMD with the development of procurement documents for contractor selection including project scope, cost estimating and scheduling
  • Manage projects for carpentry, painting, electrical, masonry, and site work throughout the Brooklyn campus
  • Prepare and provide Facilities Department reports, presentations and correspondence as required
