Teacher Education: Assistant Professor (tenure track) in the Department of Teacher Education that includes a background in one of the following fields: teacher education, early childhood /primary/ elementary education. Successful applicants will be expected to teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses, maintain an active research agenda, supervise clinically-based program experiences, supervise graduate projects, and assist with student advising. Appointment begins in August 2022.

Required: Doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction, Teacher Education, Social Justice Education, or closely related field by date of appointment, and at least two academic years of full-time teaching experience in PK-12 schools.

Consideration may be given to candidates with knowledge of classroom, community, and culture practices and strategies for justice and equity. Experience teaching or focus in urban, multicultural, and/or multilingual education; knowledge of and experience with multicultural and/or multilingual populations; background in creative arts and music; engagement with anti-racist, anti-oppressive, culturally responsive and sustaining pedagogies; and/or experience with research methodologies such as youth participatory action research and ethnography. Scholarly productivity, grant writing experience, and university teaching experience is highly desired.
