Job Summary
The Institute for Women’s Health and Leadership is seeking a communications professional with strong writing skills and a marketing background to implement and manage the communications plan of the Institute and its programs. The communications manager will report to the Director of the Institute.
Essential Functions
- Develop marketing, fundraising materials and content for programs. Direct creative execution to provide consistent, targeted, and impactful messaging.
- Develop and implement communication strategies in consultation with the program and communication team leaders.
- Serve as liaison to Drexel’s communication offices and external marketing consultants. Manage internal content approval processes for all materials in consultation with the Institute Director. Adhere to all communications policies and procedures.
- Create monthly newsletter, assemble content, and send via existing Constant Contact distribution list. Manage Constant Contact lists.
- Manage speaking requests and associated publicity.
- Regularly update content for program websites.
- Manage vendor relationships, including but not limited to printers, photographers, videographers, designers and copy services.
- Manage program social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn) Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in communications, marketing, or a related field
- Strong interpersonal skills and collaborative team skills
- Excellent writing and project management skills
- Master's degree
- Typically sitting at a desk/table
- Typically standing, walking
- Lifting demands up to 25lbs
