Job Summary
The Friedirch Research Group encourages applications for a Researcher to help with the WINTRE-MIX project! The overarching goal of the research is to better understand how multi-scale processes influence the variability and predictability of precipitation type and amount under near-freezing surface conditions. The Winter Precipitation Type Research Multi-scale Experiment (WINTRE-MIX), conducted near Montreal, Canada during February - March 2022, and the data analysis that follows the experiment are designed to address this overarching goal.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
The applicant will assist in the preparation and execution of the experiment and the post-processing of the observational data. In particular, the applicant will deploy and maintain surface instruments prior to and during the experiment and will operate one of the ground-based radars during the experiment. After the experiment, the applicant will assist in bringing the instruments back as well as uploading and quality controlling the observational data. After that, the applicant will start analyzing some of the collected data to address the research objective.

The position is for the duration of January 1, 2022 – August 15, 2022.

Compensation for this position will be $20.00 per hour.
