The Rowan University Department of Music announces an Adjunct Professor of Oboe position (part-time, non-tenure track) to begin January 18, 2022. The successful candidate will join a thriving music program of nearly 400 music majors with a proud and long-standing tradition of excellence in music education and performance. This Adjunct Oboe Professor must demonstrate excellence as a teacher of oboe, as well as significant experience and accomplishment as a performer. Teaching responsibilities will include applied oboe instruction, oboe methods class for music education majors, and possibly chamber music coaching. Additionally, organizational skills and a plan for building the studio will be required. The position will demand a robust recruiting effort. A master’s degree in music is required.
