This tradition of philanthropy paired with strong levels of alumni affinity position Colgate well for even greater success, as the Vice President and his team prepare to lead the community into an historic and comprehensive campaign.

At this pivotal moment in the University’s history, Colgate is seeking an Associate Director of Prospect Management to help guide and support our gift officers’ fundraising efforts. The person in this position will be responsible for creating and maintaining leadership and major gift officer portfolios using qualitative data and a thoughtful review of portfolio analytics. She/he/they will work with gift officers and the relationship development team to ensure timely progress of prospects through the fundraising pipeline. The successful candidate will possess advanced interpersonal and communication skills and have a strong desire to learn, coach and creatively collaborate with passionate fundraisers. Accountabilities
Accountable for prospect and portfolio management: creating and maintaining portfolios for annual and major gift officers; tracking movement of prospects and proposals in and through NXT ; and communicating strategies and processes that support the university’s fundraising goals. Professional Experience/ Qualifications
Advanced interpersonal skills, including clear written and verbal communication, are essential.

Candidates must be capable of working collegially and effectively with a diverse group of colleagues on a daily basis.

The ability to handle confidential material with utmost discretion is critical.

Fluency in computer technologies, information systems, and relational databases is required.

Must be well organized, detail oriented and able to work independently as well as part of a team. Preferred Qualifications
Three (3) years of experience in a higher education or nonprofit fundraising setting is preferred, with additional experience managing multiple projects.

Experience in prospect management, research, and/or analytics is preferred. Education
