The Department of Biomedical and Chemical Engineering is seeking a Part-time Instructor to teach CEN 474 Process Design in Spring 2022. Course description: Chemical engineering principles for plant design and optimal process operation. Cost estimation and profitability analysis. Shortcut and computer-aided process design techniques. Environmental impact and health and safety concerns.

Qualifications
PhD in Chemical Engineering or MS in Chemical Engineering with significant industry experience Job Specific Qualifications

  • Developing and/or revising the course syllabus




  • Preparing lectures, instructional materials, projects, other student assignments, and assessments appropriate for the course level and designed to meet the learning objectives


  • Maintaining regularly scheduled office hours


  • Meeting all designated class periods


  • Grading and providing student feedback in a timely manner


  • Submitting completed progress reports in Orange Success and final grades according to University policies


  • Collecting required assessment data for program accreditation
